Issue 2: Sustainable Tourism

Tourism has the potential to increase since the beginning of the 20th century, as a result of globalization from 25 million worldwide in 1950, to 527 million in 1995, with 1.32 billion in 2017.

They are relied upon to arrive at 1.8 billion by 2030 and accordingly, enactment should be established so as to guarantee that the travel industry is done in a practical way that doesn't imperil the earth. Nonetheless, since the travel industry is such a huge factor of nations' economies, representing around 10% of worldwide Gross domestic product (US 7$ trillion) it is hard to persuade states whose economies rely to a great extent upon the travel industry, to attempt to change the business as usual. Solutions could be found to benefit the environment’s well-being, besides the macro-economies in question.
